Occult symbolism and unsettling architecture combine with dramatic perspective to create an in-your-face composition that can't be looked away from. With this work I hoped to create a sense of unease and a creeping horror by using a dark composition, paper, subject and message.

I was inspired by the works of HR Gieger, along with many modern tattoo artists and others who primarily work with dark or gothic subjects. I chose to use black pastel paper with white conte to start my drawings out negative and work slowly to the positive while creating a sense of volume and light that draws in the viewer.
